Giants Revealed Special Throwback Uniforms, and NFL Fans Crushed Them
The New York Giants dropped new alternative jerseys on Thursday to commemorate their upcoming 100th season.
The uniforms celebrate many eras of the franchise dating back to 1925, the team's inaugural season. The jerseys are mostly red with a big blue stripe down the middle to pay homage to the 1933 team. The tan pants trace back to the early days of the franchise. Their socks mimic the jerseys with red and blue stripes, which is what the inaugural team wore. The helmets are dominantly blue with a red wing design from the 1938 team.
Each player will sport the 100th season patch on the jersey as well.
The look will be worn up to two games during the 2024 season, but NFL fans might prefer for the uniforms to not be worn at all. The general reaction to the uniforms was pretty negative, with many fans claiming these were the worst uniforms they had ever seen. Take a look at some of the social media responses.
