Stats

A former three-star recruit out of Williston High School in Williston, Florida, where he was the 146th Floridian prospect and the 114th cornerback during the 2020 recruiting cycle. Mitchell is Toledo’s all-time leader in career pass breakups. He was the first Toledo Rocket to be named to all five major All-American teams (AP, AFCA, FWAA, Sporting News in 2023; AP and Walter Camp in 2022).

Mitchell quickly reminded the NFL of his potential at the Reese’s Senior Bowl. He dominated the event and had only one mistake to tend the second practice after losing a one-on-one rep to Michigan WR Roman Wilson. Mitchell will attend the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine.

Summary

Quinyon Mitchell is an instinctive zone cornerback with the necessary athletic and coverage traits to play man, which he did display in college (when asked), but more specifically down at the Senior Bowl. His ball skills and harassment at the catch point are valuable traits that will allow him to thrive at the next level. He will hear his name called on day one of the draft.
