What started as a great year has become bad for the New York Giants. On January 1st, they trampled the Colts and clinched their first playoff berth since the 2016 season. Fast forward 364 days later, the Giants are 5-10, officially eliminated from the playoffs, and have an interesting offseason ahead of them.

After a heartbreaking 33-25 loss to the Eagles on Christmas Day, the Giants head home for their final two games. This week, they’ll have the Rams coming to town, who look like they’re getting hot at the right time as they push for one of the NFC’s final playoff spots. The Giants benched Tommy DeVito in Philadelphia last week and will return the reins to Tyrod Taylor for the remaining two contests.

While the season is over and many fans believe there’s nothing to play for at this point, these two weeks will be a crucial time for younger players to make their mark and put out good film before it ends. The team hoped to build off their playoff victory just 11 months prior but will be heading home in two weeks instead. A lot of jobs will be played for on Sunday and next.

The 2023 season is almost to an end. Can the Giants play spoiler to the Rams' playoff aspirations?
