LIVE BLOG: Follow New York Giants' Week 14 Game vs. Green Bay Packers
Take care of business.
That's the motto of the New York Giants (4-8) as they get set to host the red-hot Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football.
Despite the odds being heavily stacked against them, the Giants recognize they are still mathematically alive for a postseason berth.
“We’re in this, to be honest,” said running back Saquon Barkley. “I’m going to keep it real. We’re not looking too far, or in the hunt, or at playoff pictures. But if we take care of what we need to take care of — everyone can say what they want about the season — it’s Week [14], and everything we want is still there. We don’t need any extra motivation.”
It's nice that the Giants haven't officially closed the door on a season gone astray, but if we're keeping things real, as Barkley said, at this point, it's more about players and coaches playing/coaching for their jobs than anything. But hey, stranger things have happened, right?
