As already announced on Wednesday, the New York Giants will be without running back Saquon Barkley (ankle), offensive lineman Ben Bredeson (concussion), outside linebacker Azeez Ojulari (hamstring) and left tackle Andrew Thomas (hamstring).

With Bredeson, who, in addition to being the starting left guard, is also the backup center, sidelined, Shane Lemieux, inactive in Week 1 but active last week, will get the start at left guard and will be the backup center, with Glowinski on standby if LEmieux has to move to center. The Giants' starting offensive is otherwise expected to have left tackle Joshua Ezeudu, center John Michael Schmitz, right guard Marcus McKethan, and right tackle Evan Neal.

Ojulari is missing his second game in a row. The linebacker has missed 11 of his last 19 regular season games and has played less than 50 percent in four other games. With him still sidelined, the Giants elevated Oshane Ximines, who played in 20 snaps last week, for the second week in a row from the practice squad, though last week, Jihad Ward ended up playing most of the snaps for Ojulari.

Barkley's participation was never a reality, even though head coach Brian Daboll left the door open for such a possibility when he spoke to the media on Tuesday. Barkley was initially reported to be looking at missing three weeks, but with the Giants having 11 days until their Monday night clash with the Seahawks, there is an outside chance the running back could be ready for that one.

Thomas is sort of in the same boat. The left tackle is missing his second straight game, more than likely due to the short turnaround. But the hope is that he'll be good to go when the Giants host the Seahawks in 11 days.

Receiver Wan'Dale Robinson is active for the first time this year, so the Giants will have all six receivers up.

The other Giants scratches are defensive tackle Jordon Riley, who was also inactive last week, cornerback Cor'Dale Flott, and safety Gervarrius Owens

In addition to Ximines, the Giants elevated offensive lineman Jaylon Thomas from their practice squad. The versatile Thomas can play anywhere on the offensive line, making him a nice emergency option should that unit suffer further injury during Thursday night's game.

The 49ers will be without receiver Brandon Aiyuk, who was listed as questionable for this game due to a shoulder injury. Their other inactive include quarterback Brandon Allen, defensive tackle Kalia Davis, running back Tyrion Davis-Price, linebacker Jalen Graham, cornerback Ambry Thomas, and guard Nick Zakelj.
