Giants Lose OL Ben Bredeson to Bucs
Bredeson would have offered depth at center and guard.
In this story:
Offensive lineman Ben Bredeson, whom the New York Giants acquired in a 2021 trade with the Baltimore Ravens, has signed a one-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers worth up to $3.5 million.
Bredeson started 24 games over the past two seasons at three Giants positions, including guard spots and center. Since coming to the Giants, he's allowed 65 pressures, including a career-high 39 last year and five sacks last year.
With Bredeson leaving, Jimmy Morrissey is the only other center on the Giants' roster for depth behind starter John Michael Schmitz.
