Sa-Quads was out in full force this week, and that has Giants fans who are already excited about the upcoming season even more juiced.

We're, of course, referring to New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley, who, despite still not having his contract situation resolved with the team, hasn't let up in his training ahead of the 2023 season. Barkley, who regularly posts videos on his social media account, got tongues wagging with awe with his latest post, which showed him squatting 585 pounds.

Two spotters stood nearby, ready to lend a helping hand. But Barkley, whose determination is unlike anyone else's, didn't need any assistance as he slowly handled the quarter of a ton-plus of weight on his shoulders like it was nothing.

Barkley and the Giants are currently in talks about a new long-term deal that would see the sixth-year running back avoid having to play the 2023 season on the franchise tag of $10.1 million. The two sides have until July 17 to work out a deal.

If they don't, Barkley, speaking to reporters a few weeks ago at a youth football camp he headlined, said he hasn't ruled out skipping training camp or perhaps even the season, though, at that point, neither action would change anything given the hard deadline in place for teams to reach new deals with their franchise-tagged players.

Barkley is coming off a career-best 1,312-yard rushing season, five more than his rookie-year total (regular season). Barkley also recorded his first fully healthy season for the Giants since his 2018 rookie campaign and finished third in voting for the 2022 NFL Comeback Player of the Year award.
