New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll has hired his son, Christian Daboll, to serve as an entry-level offensive assistant.

The younger Daboll was previously a student-coach at Penn State for the last three and a half years, most recently having been promoted to signal caller with the Nittany Lions.

It wasn't immediately known what the younger Daboll's responsibilities would be with the Giants, who have yet to announce the move, but who did confirm it by leaving a placeholder for him on the coaching section of the team's website.

The arrival of the younger Daboll, one of six children in his family, now gives the Giants two pairs of relatives on the coaching staff, joining outside linebackers coach Drew Wilkins and defensive assistant Kevin Wilkins as the other.
