Giants IDL Dexter Lawrence Earns 1st Team All-Pro Honors from NFLPA

Lawrence continues to be one of the best young defensive linemen in the game.

New York Giants defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence was voted to the NFLPA's First Team All-Pro list at the nose tackle position.

Lawrence, the only member of the Giants to earn first-team status, rewarded the Giants' faith in him after they gave him a four-year, $90 million contract extension by finishing the 2023 season with 4.5 sacks and 53 tackles in 16 games played.

The typically durable Lawrence missed his first game due to a hamstring injury and was limited down the stretch, but he kept plugging away because he wanted to be there for his teammates.

Lawrence was one of the Giants team captains this season. He finished the season as Pro Football Focus’s highest-graded interior defensive lineman (93.0) and highest-graded pass rusher (92.6). In run defense, Lawrence finished third (89.5) behind Quinnen Williams of the Jets and Derrick Brown of the Panthers.

Lawrence was voted to his second Pro Bowl last month, the berth coming thanks to a late push by his peers and coaches around the league who helped him overcome the lack of fan support.

Aaron Donald of the Los Angeles Rams and Chris Jones of the Kansas City Chiefs were the other defensive linemen named to the NFLPA's first-team All-Pro list.
