Dexter Lawrence, Darius Slayton Game-time Decisions for Giants vs. Pats

Giants list both as doubtful on the final injury report ahead of Week 12's game vs. Patriots.

New York Giants defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence (hamstring) and receiver Darius Slayton (neck) are doubtful for Sunday's game against the Patriots.

Lawrence hasn't practiced all week after injuring his hamstring on Isaiah Simmons's interception return for a touchdown last week. Still, Lawrence, who has never missed a game in his NFL career due to injury, was hopeful of being able to play.

"I’ve been getting on the treadmill, going in the pool, underwater treadmill, rehabbing it, working it out, just trying to get it to feel good," Lawrence said Friday.

"I always want to be available. I always want to be the one to help my team get a chance to win. So, that's what I'm fighting to do. Just see how I feel leading up to the game."

Lawrence, who head coach Brian Daboll said would be a game-time decision, said he was feeling much better after suffering the injury.

"I've been getting better," he said. "Even just after the day it happened, at first, it was real tight, and just throughout the week, I've been rehabbing, recovering, and it’s been loosening up, so I've been feeling good."

Slayton, who is dealing with a neck ailment, took what appears to be a step backward on Friday when, after practicing on a limited basis on Thursday, he was held out of Friday's practice.

"He just won’t practice today," Daboll said when asked if Slayton had a setback. "I'd say we're going to take both those guys right up to game time and see where we're at with them."

Offensive tackle Evan Neal (ankle) has been declared out. Neal will miss his third straight game since injuring his ankle against the Raiders.

Running back Eric Gray, who is designated to return from IR Wednesday, is listed as questionable with an ankle issue.
