Dexter Lawrence Named Second-team AP All-Pro

The honors keep stacking up for the Giants' nose tackle.

The post-season honors continue to rack up for New York Giants defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence II.

Already voted to his second straight Pro Bowl and named a first-team All-Pro by his peers at the NFLPA, Lawrence's latest honor is being named second-team AP All-Pro.

Lawrence is the only Giant named All-Pro or voted into the Pro Bowl as a starter this year. A team captain this season, Lawrence finished the 2023 campaign as Pro Football Focus’s highest-graded interior defensive lineman (93.0) and highest-graded pass rusher (92.6).

In run defense, Lawrence finished third (89.5) behind Quinnen Williams of the Jets and Derrick Brown of the Panthers.

In the AP voting, Lawrence finished fourth among interior defensive linemen with 14 first-place votes. Aaron Donald of the Rams and Chris Jones of the Chiefs won first-team honors. Justin Madubuike of the Ravens won second-team honors.

Lawrence just completed the first year of a new four-year, $90 million contract extension. He has missed only one game in his career due to injury, that happening this past season when he suffered a hamstring strain.
