New York Giants Injury Update: Andrew Thomas, Saquon Barkley, and Others

Several injured Giants are trending in the right direction.

The New York Giants' injured players are getting healthier thanks partly to the extended break between their Week 3 and Week 4 games.

Head coach Brian Daboll told reporters on Tuesday that left tackle Andrew Thomas (hamstring) should be good to go after missing two games. With Thomas on track to return, second-year man Joshua Ezeudu, who filled in for Thomas at left tackle, will be the top backup at guard and tackle.

Left guard Ben Bredeson is also trending in the right direction. Bredeson is in the latter stages of the league's concussion protocol. He was to participate in Tuesday's practice as a designated non-contact player. The hope is that he will be cleared by an independent consultant in time for Thursday's practice.

Running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) is now "day to day" per Daboll. Barkley has an outside chance of being ready for the Seahawks game on Monday night; if he's not, then the expectation is he should be good to go when the team visits Miami the following weekend.

Cornerback Deonte Banks (arm), injured in the 49ers game, is good to go.

And in other lineup news, Marcus McKethan, who has played right guard since Week 2 after replacing Mark Glowinski at that position, will hold onto that starting job. Assuming Thomas and Breeson are indeed good to go by Monday, the starting offensive line will be (from left to right) Thomas, Bredeson, center John Michael Schmitz, McKethan, and right tackle Evan Neal.

The Giants do not have to issue an official injury report until Thursday, given their game is on Monday night.
