Giants Fans Take To Social Media To Announce Their Frustrations With the Team
Just when things looked like they could not have gotten any worse for the New York Giants, they did.
The Giants lost to the Baltimore Ravens 35-14 on Sunday and the game was not as close as the lopsided score makes it sound. The Giants were outplayed and outcoached every step of the way,
The Ravens closed as 16.5 point favorites and they covered. According to DraftKings, this was the largest spread against the Giants since 1966,
Lamar Jackson threw five touchdown passes and was a near flawless 21-of-25 afternoon. He threw for 290 yards and the only thing the Giants defense did correctly in the passing game was keep him under 300 yards. Jackson also did not suffer an interception.
The Giants, meanwhile, went through two quarterbacks and could only muster one touchdown pass between the two of them. Starting quarterback Tommy DeVito exited the game in the first half and went directly to the locker room where he went through the initial stages of the concussion protocol.
With Drew Lock nursing a heel injury, journeyman Tim Boyle entered the game in relief of DeVito, who never re-entered the game. Boyle did throw a touchdown pass, at home, to Malik Nabers.
The Giants are sitting at 2-12 on the season and have nothing to look forward to except the offseason and the NFL Draft, where the Giants are expected to have a Top 5 pick.
Giants fans who are always opinionated and like to take their frustrations vent on social media, were no differrent after this loss. Social media was buzzing from the opening kickoff through the final snap.
The theme is the same this week as it was last week when fans flew a plane over MetLife Stadium hoping to send John Mara, co-owner of the franchise, a message. This week the message was different, it said, "Mr. Mara: Enough, We will not stop until you fire everyone,".
The fans are tired of watching this dumpster fire of a season and are already making plans for the Giants' future. Some were even making plans for the present and it did not include watching the Giants game on television Sunday afternoon.
The only question remaining is whether Daboll has lost the locker room. The fans can guess on social media, but until they live in the locker room as the players do, no one will know for sure, but the players and Coach Daboll.
An unemployed Kenny Pickett fan has already quit on the Giants. Whether or not he is a closet Giants fan from the basement where he lives, according to his bio on X, remains to be seen.
