Stefon Diggs Sends Message to Bills Following Trade to Houston Texans

The Houston Texans pulled off one of the biggest moves of the 2024 offseason on Wednesday, trading for Buffalo Bills star receiver Stefon Diggs.

After the trade, Diggs issued a statement through his Instagram, thanking the Bills organization as he closes a chapter in his career.

“I can’t begin to express the amount of love and respect I have for the city of Buffalo ♥️💙,” Diggs wrote on Instagram. “Four of the best years of my life, the city welcomed me with open arms. I’m forever grateful for you all and the @buffalobills organization! Something special was built over these years with some very special men, that will always have a place in my heart. Bills Mafia, so many great memories created throughout the years. Those games were crazy because of you. Sadly good things come to an end until we meet again.”

Diggs is coming off a season where he caught 107 passes for 1,183 yards and eight touchdowns. He spent four years in Buffalo after a five-year stint in Minnesota. He caught 445 for 5,372 yards and 37 touchdowns as a Bill.

With the Vikings, he totaled 365 catches for 4,623 yards and 30 touchdowns. 

Diggs joins a high-potential Texans team that is led by C.J. Stroud, who is fresh off a breakout campaign as a rookie. Stroud threw for 4,108 yards and 23 touchdowns with five interceptions. 

Notably, Houston was able to add Diggs without losing key pieces to its offense, meaning Tank Dell and Nico Collins complete what should be a dynamic receiver trio. Collins caught 80 passes for 1,297 yards and eight scores last season. Dell finished with 709 yards and seven touchdowns on 47 catches.
