2023 NFL Draft: Jaguars Select OL Cooper Hodges, DL Raymond Vohasek in 7th
The Jacksonville Jaguars' draft class is nearly wrapped up, with the Jaguars selecting App. State offensive lineman Cooper Hodges and North Carolina defensive lineman Raymond Vahasek with back-to-back picks in the seventh (No. 226 and No. 227).
The additions of each gives the Jaguars more young and cheap contracts along the offensive and defensive line. Hodges, who was announced on stage as a guard, was a two-time team captain at Appalachian State, starting 51 games at right tackle over the last four years. During that time, he was named a two-time Second-Team All-SBC and a two-time First-Team All-SBC member.
Vahasek started 18 games over the last two years, including five starts in 2022. He was named honorable mention All-ACC in 2021 after finishing the year with 38 tackles, four tackles for loss, and three pass breakups.
The Jaguars have now drafted two offensive linemen and two interior defensive linemen, giving them an influx of young talent in the trenches to close out the 2023 draft.
