Jaguars Rookie Review: Updates on Each 2023 Draft Pick After Week 15 Loss vs. Ravens

How did the Jaguars' rookie class perform against the Baltimore Ravens?

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson put it best last week: youth is no longer an excuse.

With the Jaguars now sitting at 8-6 following a 23-7 home loss to the Baltimore Ravens, the time for rookies to grow up has come and passed. But, just how did the Jaguars rookies perform in Week 15? We break it down below.

1st, No. 27: OT Anton Harrison, Oklahoma

Anton Harrison allowed three pressures on 49 pass-protection snaps, turning in another relatively solid shift considering the exotic and aggressive defense he played again. He did have some issues in the running game, however, and was partially responsible for one of Travis Etienne's loss of yardage carries.

2nd, No. 61: TE Brenton Strange, Penn State

Brenton Strange didn't play in Week 15 due to a foot injury.

3rd, No. 88: RB Tank Bigsby, Auburn

Tank Bigsby played just one snap, a run for a two-yard loss early in the first-half. Otherwise, Bigsby stood by on the sidelines as D'Ernest Johnson continued to establish himself as the team's No. 2 running back.

4th, No. 121: LB Ventrell Miller, Florida

Ventrell Miller is on injured reserve.

4th, No. 130: DL Tyler Lacy, Oklahoma State

Tyler Lacy played 16 snaps on Sunday, with all but five of those snaps coming as a run-defender. Lacy did not record a pressure in his five pass-rush snaps, though he did seemingly win the final rotational role from veteran defensive lineman Angelo Blackson.

5th, No. 136: EDGE/LB Yasir Abdullah, Louisville

Yasir Abdullah was a healthy scratch in Week 15.

5th, No. 160: DB Antonio Johnson, Texas A&M

Antonio Johnson played his most snaps of the season and ultimately made his first "start" as the Jaguars' top nickel corner. Veteran nickel corner Tre Herndon played fewer than 10 snaps in his return from concussion protocol, and that is largely due to Johnson earning more snaps a week previously vs. the Browns.

6th, No. 185: WR Parker Washington, Penn State

Parker Washington had his second game in Christian Kirk's role, ranking third on the team in routes run on Sunday with 27. With that said, his 27 routes resulted in four catches for 12 yards on six targets. The biggest potential catch he had was a first-half drop that immediately preceded Trevor Lawrence's third-down fumble in the red-zone.

6th, No. 202: CB Christian Braswell, Rutgers

Christian Braswell is on injured reserve and has not yet been activated from his 21-day practice window.

6th, No. 208: S Erick Hallett II, Pittsburgh

Erick Hallett is on the practice squad and was not active for Week 15.

7th, No. 226: OL Cooper Hodges, App. State

Cooper Hodges is on injured reserve.

7th, No. 227: DL Raymond Vohasek, UNC

Raymond Vohasek is not on the Jaguars' active roster or practice squad.

7th, No. 240: FB Derek Parish, Houston

Derek Parish is not on the Jaguars' active roster or practice squad.

UDFA: WR Elijah Cooks

Elijah Cooks played 14 snaps on Sunday, running 12 routes. He recorded a drop on his lone target, a red-zone attempt to him late in the fourth-quarter.
