Jaguars Podcast: Week 1 Review After Win vs. Colts

What did John and Gus see in the win vs. the Colts in Week 1?

The Jacksonville Jaguars were the only AFC South team to find a win in Week 1, knocking off the Indianapolis Colts in a 31-21 win at Lucas Oil Stadium.

It was the Jaguars’ fourth straight victory against an AFC South opponent dating back to last season. The Jaguars are now 15-14 in season openers and 4-5 against AFC South opponents on Kickoff Weekend.

“Well, I don’t think so much that, just who you’re playing. It’s a different animal now. You have a veteran quarterback versus the rookie who I think played well, Anthony Richardson played well yesterday," Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said on Monday.

Now, the Jaguars will be moving onto the Chiefs in Week 2 in a hope to avenge last year's losses during the regular-season and in the AFC Divisonal Round.

"This is a Super Bowl winning team. They’re obviously well coached, it’s a disciplined group, so the challenges are real. We haven’t faired so well against them, especially last year with two losses. It’s a great opportunity for our team, it’s a home game, it’s here, looking forward to the challenge of the game plan this week and getting ourselves and our team ready to go.”

How do John and Gus see the Jaguars' win in Week 1 and what does it mean for them as they move into Week 2? Listen below.
