Jaguars vs. Saints: Trevor Lawrence (Knee) Limited on Tuesday
Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence was limited in the Jaguars' only practice of the week, giving the third-year passer a chance to start on Thursday Night Football vs. the New Orleans Saints.
Lawrence left Sunday's 37-20 win over the Indianapolis Colts with a knee injury after rolling out and taking a sack with just over 3:00 left in the game, but the third-year signal-caller said after the game that he was "feeling OK." ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Monday that it was a knee sprain but ultimately wasn't a serious injury.
Lawrence has started all 42 games of his career since the Jaguars drafted him with the No. 1 overall pick in 2021. The only other notable injury Lawrence has dealt with was a toe injury that briefly knocked him out of the game in last year's Week 13 contest vs. the Detroit Lions.
After last year's injury, Lawrence was listed as questionable throughout the week but eventually started vs. the Tennessee Titans, going on to having one of the most productive games of his career.
While Lawrence was limited, the Jaguars did have several key players listed as non-participants.
Wide receiver Zay Jones was held out of practice with a knee injury after missing last week vs. the Colts, while offensive tackle Walker Little was also held out with a knee injury he sustained in Week 5.
Cornerback Tyson Campbell, who injured his hamstring in Week 6, also do not practice on Tuesday and is unlikely to play vs. the Saints. Right guard Brandon Scherff also did not practice with an ankle injury.
