The full details of Josh Allen's five-year contract extension with the Jacksonville Jaguars have been revealed.

According to NBC Sport's Mike Florio, Allen's base value is $141.25 million -- contrasted to the original reports of $150 million. This would mean Allen would earn an average annual value of $28.25 million as opposed to $30 million.

"The deal hits $150 million ($30 million per year) only if Allen has 17.5 sacks or more every year, and if he gets to the Pro Bowl or is named first-team All-Pro in every season," Florio said.

Allen, the No. 7 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, is the first Jaguars' first-round pick to sign an extension with the team since Blake Bortles.

Allen broke the Jaguars' rookie sack record in 2019 with 10.5 sacks before breaking the single-season sack record with 17.5 sacks in 2023. Allen was one of the NFL's most productive pass-rushers in 2023, combining with Travon Walker for 27.5 sacks to lead all pass-rusher duos.

In five years with the Jaguars, Allen has recorded 45 sacks, 53 tackles for loss, nine forced fumbles, and two interceptions.

"Of course I want to be in Jacksonville. You know, I have a chance to leave a legacy behind," Allen said in Orlando at the Pro Bowl, via Jamal St. Cyr of WJXT4 in Jacksonville.

"And you know, that's something I wanted to do. I wanted to be with the best defensive player to come out of Jacksonville. And that's everywhere that I go so I got a great opportunity to finish what I started. You know, but at the end of the day I know what comes with the business side of it. So, you know, whatever play out, play out. But, you know, I'd love to be back."

In 17 games in 2023, Allen recorded 17.5 sacks, a career-high 33 quarterback hits, a career-high 17 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, and an interception. Allen also finished No. 5 among all EDGE players in pressures and No. 7 in win-rate.
