Jaguars vs. Dolphins: How to Watch

The Jaguars and Dolphins will face off in the final week of the preseason this Saturday.

The Jacksonville Jaguars will be looking for a preseason sweep this weekend, facing off against the Miami Dolphins in a bid to go 3-0 before the regular season starts.

With a victory on Saturday, the Jaguars can conclude their first preseason without a loss since 1997. In that season, the Jaguars defeated the Panthers, Giants, 49ers and Falcons. 1997 is the only season in team history the Jaguars went undefeated in the preseason.

The third preseason game will also go a long way in determining which players are going to secure spots on the Jaguars' 53-man roster. While a roster may be largely determined entering the final days of the preseason, it is still vital for players to have a strong showing ahead of Tuesday's cut day.

"You kind of have your starters penciled in, so you kind of know those guys. It’s just evaluating some of the younger guys and the role guys," Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said this week.

"Special teams becomes an important factor there. This is a big game because if Miami comes out and wants to play their starters, which I’m anticipating them doing, I want to see some of our younger players go against starting-caliber players in this league. That’s another way of evaluating the roster that you have.”
