Jaguars' Week 13 Monday Night Football Bout vs. Bengals Officially Avoids Flex

The Jaguars will make their return to Monday Night Football in Week 13.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are officially making their return to Monday Night Football.

After last being on Monday Night Football in 2011, the Jaguars will once again be in the national spotlight in Week 13 when they take on the Cincinnati Bengals.

Despite a season-ending injury to quarterback Joe Burrow becoming a potential reason for the NFL to flex the Jaguars and Bengals out of the timeslot, the game was locked in on Tuesday evening as the NFL made their official schedule changes.

The 7-3 Jaguars first have a giant Week 12 game with AFC South championship implications against the Houston Texans, but they can now at least know they will get a chance to display their talents on primetime football ahead of the season's final month.

"I think everyone is really synced up. We're all on the same page. Communication is really great after wins and losses. I think we're really accountable and that makes a difference," Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence said on Sunday.

"We don't have guys that shift blame. We all understand everyone has a part in wins and everyone has a part in losses. It's never on one or a couple guys. I think that this team does a great job of understanding that and has the right mindset in bouncing back after rough games. And we all just shoulder some of that blame and just stick together. I think that's something that we've done a great job of. We've had some adversity going back the last couple of seasons, and we've been good at responding, and we have to keep doing that. That's what the good teams do, you know. It's hard to go undefeated in this league. There's been, what, one team to do it. You're going to have weeks where you don't play great, and you’ve got to find a way to be able to turn the ship and play better the next week."
