NFL Predictions: Week 3's Winners and Losers
Week 3 is upon us.
The 2023 NFL season is in full swing and the Jacksonville Jaguars are hoping for a big rebound after last week's 17-9 loss.
To keep track of how we see the NFL this year, we will be doing weekly win-loss predictions, tracking our progress as the year goes on.
Last week: 10-6
Season: 20-12
Texans vs. Jaguars
Winner: Jaguars
The Jaguars struggle at home against the Texans and Trevor Lawrence is just 1-3 against them in his career, but they are missing most of their starting secondary and offensive line. The Jaguars should win this one.
Giants vs. 49ers
Winner: 49ers
The Giants started this year being outscored 60-0 in the first six quarters. They are bad.
Falcons vs. Lions
Winner: Lions
This one feels like it could go either way, but eventually the Falcons' hole at quarterback will catch up to them.
Bills vs. Commanders
Winner: Bills
This could be a fun game, but I think the Bills get past a Commanders team that isn't as good as their record, but isn't as bad as many may have thought.
Broncos vs. Dolphins
Winner: Dolphins
Mike McDaniel should be the current leader for coach of the year. The Dolphins offense is elite.
Colts vs. Ravens
Winner: Ravens
A rookie quarterback against maybe the best defensive coordinator in the NFL is a mismatch.
Chargers vs. Vikings
Winner: Chargers
It isn't at all out of the realm of possibility that the Chargers lose this game, but I think Justin Herbert can do just enough against a bad defense.
Patriots vs. Jets
Winner: Patriots
Zach Wilson vs. this defense will be a little more than ugly.
Saints vs. Packers
Winner: Saints
The Packers might be the better football team, but I think the Saints will be able to win the battle in the trenches.
Titans vs. Browns
Winner: Browns
Probably the pick I am least confident in. This one is a coin toss.
Panthers vs. Seahawks
Winner: Seahawks
The Seahawks would be heavy favorites in this game even if Bryce Young plays.
Bears vs. Chiefs
Winner: Chiefs
This might be a 30+ point win for the Chiefs. The Bears are the worst team in football right now.
Cowboys vs. Cardinals
Winner: Cowboys
Godspeed, Josh Dobbs.
Steelers vs. Raiders
Winner: Steelers
A game that feels like it could go either way, but the Steelers seem due.
Eagles vs. Buccaneers
Winner: Eagles
The Eagles' pass-rush should help Baker Mayfield turn back into a pumpkin.
Rams vs. Bengals
Winner: Rams
The Rams are much better this year than anyone expected them to be. They might play Jake Browning, too.
