Report: Ex-Broncos OT Cam Fleming Visits With Jaguars

After losing Jawaan Taylor in free agency, could Cam Fleming be in the Jaguars' plans in 2023?

The Jacksonville Jaguars could be on the verge of making a very underrated addition.

According to ESPN's Field Yates, the Jaguars hosted former Denver Broncos and New England Patriots offensive tackle Cam Fleming for a visit on Monday. With the Jaguars losing right tackle Jawaan Taylor to free agency last month, an experienced tackle like Fleming could solve the team's offensive tackle depth before April.

A New England Patriots 2014 fourth-round selection (No. 140 overall) out of Stanford, Fleming played for the Patriots for four seasons, appearing in 47 games and starting 20. Fleming then spent two seasons with the Dallas Cowboys as their swing tackle, the only two seasons in which he spent more snaps at left tackle than right tackle.

After 28 games and six starts with the Cowboys, Fleming started 16 games for the New York Giants at right tackle in 2020 before signing with the Broncos in 2021. Over the last two years, Fleming appeared in 20 games and started at 19, including 15 starts at right tackle in 2022.

Fleming would make plenty of sense as a potential addition considering the Jaguars are set to replace Taylor. While Walker Little is the top candidate to replace Taylor as the starting right tackle, Fleming would give the Jaguars experienced depth behind a third-yeat tackle who has played just 20 NFL snaps at right tackle.

"You hated to see him go, but I get it, that's part of our business, right. And that's what's gonna happen. Listen, I wish him all the best and success in Kansas City. And you know, but now for us, it's about moving forward," Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said at this year's annual Owners Meetings.

"You know, Walker Little, it's a great opportunity for him, you know, to step up."
