Monday was a big day for fans of the New York Jets.

New jersey looks dropped that were a massive upgrade from the previous look, Brock Bowers visited the team for an official NFL Draft visit, and voluntary workouts began today for the organization.

Of course, nothing major usually happens during the first phase of offseason workouts. This is the team coaches and players return to the facility and begin hammering away at film and strategy for the upcoming year.

It's WHO was in attendance today that mattered for New York, though.

At 40 years old and coming off an Achilles injury that cost him the entire 2023 season, Aaron Rodgers did not need to show up for voluntary workouts this week in New York. He knows the scheme, and he understands the plan moving forward.

And yet he still has arrived at 1 Jets Drive.

New York's social team posted a video of the four-time NFL MVP arriving to the team facility to begin voluntary workouts and start the process of turning the page to the 2024 season. In doing so, Rodgers sent a very clear message and one that has been consistent since he arrived to Florham Park last year.

He loves being a member of the Jets.

“I’m excited about playing again,” Rodgers recently said on the “I Can Fly” podcast. “I love playing. I fell back in love with the game and then I had it taken away after four plays. I miss being out there, I love competing.”

Despite not reaching the playoffs in the last 13 seasons, New York has cultivated an environment that Rodgers has thrived in since being traded from the Green Bay Packers. With elite talents around him like wide receiver Garrett Wilson and running back Breece Hall, Rodgers has enough tools in place to end the Jets' recent hardship.

At the very least, he's doing what few quarterbacks his age end up doing - going through the entirety of the offseason plan.
