2023 NFL Draft Viewer's Guide: Follow the Action Happening in Kansas City

'How To Watch' Details plus a listing of our Jets Country draft resources

The most-drastic change to the National Football League Draft over the years may be the fact that it has become a three-day television extravaganza.

Hosted in an average-sized hotel ballroom 40 years ago, the NFL Draft has added two days since then and the first three rounds have become primetime TV programming.

Even at the turn of the century, the Draft was still a weekend event before the NFL separated the first two rounds and made Round 1 a standalone Thursday night show.

Nowadays, Round 1 headlines Thursday's primetime programming lineup with Rounds 2 and 3 accounting for Friday night entertainment. Rounds 4 through 7 consume roughly six hours on Saturday.

Set in downtown Kansas City, the 2023 NFL Draft kicks off at 8:00 pm ET on April 27. There will be only 31 selections made on Thursday night as the Miami Dolphins forfeited their first-rounder as a result of a league-imposed penalty.

The New York Jets are set to hit the clock at No. 15 overall in Round 1, which limits teams to 10 minutes per pick. Gang Green owns five total selections over the three days, picking once in Rounds 1, 2 and 4 before taking two turns in Round 5.

NFL Network and ESPN are the top two ways to watch the action unfold, but there are plays of ways to follow on the worldwide web, too. Rich Eisen will anchor the NFL Network coverage with Daniel Jeremiah as the lead analyst. If Mel Kiper Jr. is your cup of tea, then you'll need to tune to ESPN.
