It was reported that the New York Jets would have a kicking tryout on Tuesday. Today, the team has reportedly found a solution to their kicking conundrum, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, deciding on Sam Ficken.

The Jets waived kicker Kaare Vedvik, who missed an extra point and field goal in the 17-16 season opening loss to the Buffalo Bills.

Ficken, 26, has appeared in four NFL games -- all with the Los Angeles Rams. In 2017, Ficken made 2-of-3 of his field goal attempts and 4-of-5 extra points over a two game stint. Last season, Ficken was 1-for-3 on field goal attempts and 10-for-10 on extra points.

The Penn State alum is coming off a strong preseason with the Green Bay Packers, one in which he nearly beat out veteran Mason Crosby.
