Sacked: Jets' Aaron Rodgers Gets NFL's Smallest 'Performance' Bonus
Aaron Rodgers' short season was a nightmare. Accordingly, his performance "bonus" is scary.
The New York Jets' quarterback suffered a season-ending Achilles injury on the fourth snap in 2023, effectively also ending the year for the team. His minimal impact is reflected in his "performance-based pay", getting the smallest check of any player in the NFL for last season.
Rodgers earned multi-millions in base salary and other compensation. But his check for performance-based pay was a whopping $81.14.
Making $20 in approximately two minutes is nothing to sneeze at for the average American. But this season the Jets are obviously counting a healthy Rodgers to put more touchdowns on the scoreboard, more wins on the record and more zeroes behind his performance-based pay.
For the record, in 2023 Rodgers threw one incomplete pass and was sacked once.
