Adding possible injury to insult, New York Jets’ wide receiver Garrett Wilson was nicked up late in the fourth quarter against the Dallas Cowboys.

With Gang Green looking for some kind of spark, trailing 30-10, quarterback Zach Wilson targeted the WR1 over the middle. Wilson, the receiver, was interfered with on the play, drawing a penalty on what would be his final snap of the game.

In on the coverage during the 4th-and-5 play, Dallas cornerback DaRon Bland was charged with a 6-yard pass interference penalty that gave the Green & White a first down at the Cowboys' 47-yard line.

After slowly rising to his feet, the second-year pass-catcher jogged off the field with 3:07 left on the clock. The reigning NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year briefly sat on the bench prior to entering the blue medical tent. After vacating the tent, Wilson was taken into the locker room.

Jets' boss Robert Saleh provided a positive update on Wilson following the game, inferring that he did not sustain an injury.

"He had the wind knocked out of him," said the third-year head coach.

The Jets' top receiver was responsible for the team's lone touchdown, a 68-yard sprint on a second-quarter slant pass. Targeted eight times, Wilson finished with two receptions for 83 yards.
