Now Available: Jets Country Podcast, Episode 2 — Punter Thomas Morstead

The 14-year NFL veteran joined the show for an exclusive interview following OTAs

His college underdog story, the successful onsides kick in Super Bowl XLIV and even the viral butt punt from Week 2 in 2022. Thomas Morstead tackled all those topics and more on the Jets Country Podcast.

Back home in Louisiana with his family for the start of summer, Morstead took time to share his thoughts on the Jets and the upcoming 2023 season with our podcast listeners.

Morstead, who spent the entire 2022 campaign with the Dolphins, provided insight on the free agency process and laid out reasons why the Jets were an attractive destination for him.

The 37-year old punter, a former college walk-on at Southern Methodist University, spent his first 12 NFL seasons as the New Orleans Saints' starter before being cut. The Jets signed Morstead to fill in for an injured Braden Mann during the 2021 season. After seven appearances with Gang Green, he finished the year with the Atlanta Falcons.
