A hectic day of New York Jets news just got even more intriguing with a bold move, as the team is reportedly acquiring New England Patriots wide receiver Demaryius Thomas for a 2021 sixth-round pick, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

This trade comes after the Patriots' acquisition of Antonio Brown from the Oakland Raiders, who is a seven-time Pro Bowler and four-time First-team All-Pro.

The 31-year-old Thomas is now on his fourth team in the last year (Broncos, Texans, Patriots and now Jets) but he's a five-time Pro Bowler and two-time Second-team All-Pro.

Thomas sustained a torn Achilles late last season with the Texans but if he can stay healthy the Jets hope the 6-foot-3 receiver could recapture the magic of his past and boost their passing attack.

For his career, Thomas has amassed 688 receptions, 9,330 yards and 62 touchdowns.

This is a low-risk, high-reward scenario so credit to Jets GM Joe Douglas for being aggressive on the trade market.
