Jets to work out intriguing CB Jordan Brown

The 6-foot-1, 201-pound cornerback was a 2019 seventh-round pick of the Cincinnati Bengals.

After another miserable performance by the Jets cornerbacks for the second consecutive week, the team will begin their search for reinforcements -- as early as Tuesday.

Sources told Jets Maven that former South Dakota State cornerback Jordan Brown will work out for the team on Tuesday.

Brown was selected with the 223rd pick in the 2019 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals after impressive showings at the Senior Bowl and NFL Scouting Combine.

Brown, 23, fell victim to a numbers game in Cincinnati.

The 6-foot-1, 201-pound CB has generated some buzz since his release, most recently working out for the Miami Dolphins last week.

Brown played in 51 career games for the South Dakota State Jackrabbits, amassing 148 tackles (117 solo), six tackles for loss, eight interceptions, 35 pass breakups and four forced fumbles.

As a senior, his list of accolades included Associated Press FCS All-America Third Team, STATS All-America Second Team, HERO Sports FCS All-America First Team, and American Football Coaches Association FCS All-America First Team honors.

During the pre-draft process, I asked Brown about what he felt his strengths were as a CB: "My physicality, my length, pressing, instincts — I think I have really good instincts when it comes to getting the football. Recognizing routes concepts and things like that, and just knowing situations in the game."
