There haven't been many staff changes for the New York Jets this offseason, but some significant moves have certainly been made.

Former quarterback coach Rob Calabrese is leaving New York for an offensive assistant coach with the Los Angeles Rams. Calabrese, 33, was with the Jets in 2021 and tried to help develop the likes of second-overall pick Zach Wilson

While Wilson struggled to gain his footing in the NFL, Calabrese ended up earning the respect of newly anointed franchise quarterback Aaron Rodgers after the trade last offseason that sent the four-time NFL MVP to Florham Park.

"We got a great quarterback room," Rodgers said during training camp last offseason. "To be able to work with (passing game coordinator) Todd Downing and (quarterbacks coach) Rob Calabrese, and (offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett) ... To work with Zach (Wilson) and Tim (Boyle), and Chris (Streveler), it's been a lot of fun."

Before his time in New York, the Long Island native was an offensive quality control coach with the Denver Broncos from 2019-2020.

Calabrese is the third position coach on Gang Green to leave the organization this offseason. Running back coach Taylor Embree and the organization parted ways for Tony Dews. Shawn Jefferson also replaced Zach Azzanni as the receivers coach.

A replacement for the quarterback coach role has not been named at this time.
