There is an almost tangible buzz permeating Florham Park these days. In the wake of general manager Joe Douglas acquiring the likes of Morgan Moses, Tyron Smith and Mike Williams, the optimism is that when 40-year-old quarterback Aaron Rodgers gets healthy he'll now be equipped with veteran blockers and a new, big-play receiver.

But ... not everyone is buying it. Especially, it seems, the wise guys who make a living getting it right.

Bottom line: Despite their splashy free-agent signings, the Jets' odds to win Super Bowl LIX next February in New Orleans are the same as before free agency at +3000.

What it means is that a $100 bet on the Jets would return $3,000 if they win their first Super Bowl since 1969.

Said Smith after leaving the Dallas Cowboys to sign a one-year contract to be the Jets' new left tackle, "I still feel like the Jets have an opportunity to win it. And anything I can do for the team to help them out, I’m going to do my best to do it. I feel like it’s going to be amazing."

Teams that have seen their odds improve in free agency include the Philadelphia Eagles (Saquon Barkley), Pittsburgh Steelers (Russell Wilson) and Atlanta Falcons (Kirk Cousins).

The San Francisco 49ers (+500) and Kansas City Chiefs (+650) remain the favorites to play in next year's Super Bowl. AFC East odds are led by the Buffalo Bills (+1200), Miami Dolphins (+2200) and New England Patriots (+17000), which have the second-worst odds behind only the Carolina Panthers.
