The New York Jets have put four tight ends in place for their Aaron Rodgers-led offense.

With Tyler Conklin, Jeremy Ruckert and Zack Kuntz all under contract, the Jets have decided to bring Kenny Yeboah back into the fold. According to NFL Network's Peter Schrager, the team has agreed to a one-year deal with the impending restricted free agent.

The 25-year-old Yeboah has totaled 25 regular season appearances for New York over the past three seasons since joining the organization as an undrafted free agent in 2021.

Due to a preseason hamstring injury, Yeboah landed on Injured Reserve at the start of the 2023 regular season and eventually returned to play the final five games on the schedule. The Jets opened his 21-day practice window on November 15 and activated the tight end to take CJ Uzomah's roster spot on December 6.

Contributing mainly on special teams, Yeboah totaled two receptions for 28 yards on offense. In three preseason games, he managed four catches for 36 yards and one touchdown.

The tight end position projects to heavily factor into the passing offense under Rodgers's direction. Even with Rodgers sidelined last year, Conklin, the team's TE1, finished as the Jets' second-leading receiver with 621 yards.

Jets Re-Sign Safety To Contract Extension

Yeboah has been targeted only seven times in the passing game over a three-year period. Meanwhile, he has totaled 441 career special teams snaps.

Other than adding a rookie or two ahead of training camp, it doesn't appear likely the Jets will use any further offseason resources on the tight ends' room.
