If money talks, then Aaron Rodgers has loudly proclaimed his commitment to the New York Jets.

The future Hall-of-Fame quarterback agreed to a new two-year contract that reportedly saves the team $35 million. NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero shared the details on social media, indicating that Rodgers will play on a $75 million guaranteed contract that runs through the 2024 season.

In a subsequent post, Pelissero explained that "Rodgers’s new contract is technically a five-year deal, including two option years to spread out bonus proration and create a 2023 cap number of just under $9 million."

The move provides the Jets with more short-term salary cap flexibility.

While speaking with the media following Wednesday's training camp practice in Florham Park, Rodgers confirmed rumors that a new deal was imminent, but the four-time NFL MVP opted to withhold the specifics.

"There is probably going to be something probably hitting later on today," said Rodgers.

The news of the contract agreement suggests Rodgers has hopes of playing past the 2023 season and the 39-year-old field general essentially admitted the intention to stick around for awhile during his post-practice presser.

"I’m having a blast, so I don’t really see this as a one year and done thing," said Rodgers, who spent his first 18 NFL seasons with the Green Bay Packers.

The seemingly re-energized Rodgers stopped short of making a Broadway Joe-style guarantee.

"It’s all about the body and how the body feels," said Rodgers. "The team gave up significant pieces just for it just to be a one-year deal. I’m aware of that. Now again, anything can happen, with my body or with the success we have this year."
