Frustration began to get the best of the New York Jets in the fourth quarter of the first-ever NFL Black Friday Game at MetLife Stadium.

Jets' defensive lineman Micheal Clemons was disqualified five seconds into the final frame as tempers boiled over following an extra point by the Miami Dolphins.

After Jason Sanders's kick extended Miami's lead to 27-6, a scrum broke out in the backfield. Clemons appeared to mix it up with Dolphins' offensive tackle Austin Jackson amongst others. As officials rushed into the fray, the Jets' defender made contact with umpire Carl Paganelli and was immediately flagged for the infraction.

While demonstratively pointing, Clemons hit inadvertently Paganelli in the face and appeared to draw blood from the umpire's mouth area. Committing a foul against the official is naturally grounds for ejection. He made two tackles, including a half-sack, prior to his involuntary exit.

"The scrum on the field goal with Micheal. I think it was inadvertent. He's pointing and accidentally hit the referee, but it's still a foul," said Jets' head coach Robert Saleh following the 34-13 loss.

Jackson was also disqualified on the play while Jets' linebacker CJ Mosley was charged with an unnecessary roughness penalty to boot.

Clemons, a second-year pro, is developing a reputation for a short temper. He was seen physically confronting Buffalo Bills' tackle Dion Dawkins in the tunnel following last week's game at Highmark Stadium. The two players had engaged in a minor dust up during the Bills' 32-6 win.

Dawkins subsequently accused Clemons and the Jets as being "disrespectful" throughout the Week 11 meeting in Orchard Park.
