The New York Jets made a handful of pregame moves heading into their Monday Night Football matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.

In a repeat of last week, the Jets elevated interior offensive lineman Xavier Newman and wide receiver Malik Taylor from the Practice Squad. On the transaction wire, the Green & White released offensive guard Jason Poe from the Practice Squad while signing former Green Bay Packers' offensive lineman Jacob Hanson to fill the spot.

With the Green & White losing Connor McGovern and Wes Schweitzer to in-game injuries, Newman saw emergency reps at both right guard and center in the Week 8 win over the New York Giants. It was Newman's first appearance as a Jet. The second-year pro, who signed as an undrafted free agent in 2022, played in four games for the Tennessee Titans prior to landing with Gang Green.

Taylor saw 23 total snaps on offense and managed to make a key contribution in overtime. The P-Squad player drew a pass interference downfield, setting up the game-winning field goal in what was his regular season debut with the Jets. Taylor, who was with the Green & White throughout training camp this past summer, made 25 appearances for the Green Bay Packers during the 2020 and 2021 seasons.

Hanson, a center, was waived by the Packers this past August. The 2020 sixth-round draft pick made five appearances in 2021 followed by six in 2022.

After spending his rookie season on the San Francisco 49ers' P-Squad, Poe joined the Jets' 16-man unit at the conclusion of the 2023 NFL Preseason.
