Detroit Lions general manager Brad Holmes has said the Lions will draft the best player available when it is their turn to pick.

Holmes and the Lions currently hold the No. 29 overall pick in this year's Draft, which begins at 8 p.m. April 25 in Detroit. There's plenty of heightened expectation, as the Lions will be hosting the event after making a run to the NFC Championship game last season.

As a result, the Lions' choice will be highly anticipated.

With the Draft less than three weeks away, odds have emerged surrounding who will be the Lions' first choice. According to BetMichigan, the current favorite to be selected by the Lions is Duke offensive lineman Graham Barton.

Barton is currently +500 to be the team's pick, the best odds of the eight players listed. A two-time All-ACC selection, Barton played tackle in college but is expected to slide to the offensive interior upon reaching the professional ranks.

The Lions retooled their offensive line this offseason. After losing Jonah Jackson, they added veteran Kevin Zeitler to be the right guard. Still, adding a lineman early in the Draft would add depth to what has been one of the league's best units in recent years.

Minnesota safety Tyler Nubin and Alabama cornerback Kool-Aid McKinstry are tied for the second-best odds, as each are currently +700. The Lions need help in the secondary at both positions. McKinstry reportedly took a Top-30 visit with the Lions on Thursday.

Here is a complete list of the betting favorites to be selected by the Lions in the 2024 NFL Draft:
