The Detroit Lions are one of the most interesting teams going into the 2024 NFL Draft.

Holding the 29th overall pick, the team will pick at the latest point it ever has under general manager Brad Holmes. After an active offseason that left many of the teams' shortcomings fixed, they could go in any direction when the first round of the NFL Draft rolls around on April 25.

The latest prediction of what the Lions could do in the first round of this year's Draft comes from NFL Network's Peter Schrager. The analyst projects that the Lions will add offensive line depth in the form of West Virginia's Zach Frazier.

"Frazier is a former state wrestling champion who's nasty, versatile and hungry," Schrager wrote. "This is a Brad Holmes/Dan Campbell prospect if there ever was one, with the West Virginia product oozing bulldog characteristics. If we learned anything from the Jahmyr Gibbs and Jack Campbell picks last year, it's that the Lions draft guys they like, as opposed to dwelling on needs and perceived positional value."

Frazier played center at the collegiate level but could slide to either guard position at the professional level. He produced a Pro Football Focus run-blocking grade of 75.3 and a pass-blocking grade of 83.8 last season for the Mountaineers. He allowed just six pressures last year.

A versatile interior lineman, Frazier also possesses the trademark grit that Holmes and Dan Campbell look for, which dates back to his time as a high school wrestler.

The West Virginia product would serve as depth for the Lions this upcoming season. Detroit retooled its offensive line, as Jonah Jackson departed to sign with the Los Angeles Rams. The organization did re-sign Graham Glasgow to a three-year deal and signed Kevin Zeitler to a one-year deal.
