Aaron Glenn Will Interview with Arizona Cardinals In Person
Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn will reportedly interview with the Arizona Cardinals in person on Saturday.
After four seasons in Arizona, owner Michael Bidwell made the decision to part ways with previous head coach Kliff Kingsbury.
"We all thought over the last three seasons or the prior three seasons that we would take the next step up after having achieved a playoff appearance last year. It didn't happen," Bidwell expressed, after moving on from Kingsbury. "The people in this room and our fans know all the reasons why, dating back to last year, that different factors worked against us. Still not an excuse. And we expected better, I expected better and we deserve better."

Monti Ossenfort was recently hired as the Cardinals' new general manager.
Glenn also interviewed for open head coaching vacancies last offseason, and completed a virtual interview with the Indianapolis Colts last weekend.
Lions head coach Dan Campbell named Glenn defensive coordinator in 2021, following two seasons for Glenn with the Browns as their assistant defensive backs coach and five seasons serving as the Saints defensive backs coach.
When asked last year about the potential of becoming a head coach in the NFL, the 50-year-old defensive coordinator indicated he still had very high expectations for himself and what he wanted others to say about him.
"If it happens, those things happen," Glenn said at the conclusion of the 2021 NFL season. "But, listen, this is a huge job that I have right now. And, I want to be the best that I can be at it, and I want to be the best that ever came through Detroit. I want you guys to say that at some point, that he was the best coordinator ever. That’s what my goal is."
It has now been reported Arizona will hire Lions director of college scouting Dave Sears to become their next assistant general manager.
