Aaron Glenn Interviewed 'Really Well' With Colts

General manager Chris Ballard indicated at the onset of the Colts coaching search that he would be leading the search.
However, it was made clear to reporters that Irsay would have the final say regarding who would replace former head coach Frank Reich and interim coach Jeff Saturday, who is still in the running.
“I’ll lead the search," Ballard expressed. "Ultimately, Mr. Irsay makes the final call. There’s 32 teams, 32 owners. They own the team. We give him, here’s our thoughts, and Mr. Irsay is a good listener. Ultimately, he’ll make the final call but he will lean heavily on our work and what we do to get the coaching candidates in place.”
Glenn has been a candidate for the past two hiring cycles.
Last offseason, the ex-NFL defensive back interviewed with both New Orleans and Denver.
This offseason, he has interviewed with the Colts and Cardinals.
“I was going to be happy as hell for him, but the thought of losing him, I just had this feeling -- like I was going to be walking around without any pants on," head coach Dan Campbell said about the potential of losing Glenn back in May. “Having A.G., there’s a comfort level, I think that pretty much says it all.”
