Aidan Hutchinson: 'Everyone Here Wants to Be Part of History'
Dan Campbell and several members of the Detroit Lions roster understand the importance of the organization winning their first division title in 30 years.
Aidan Hutchinson grew up in Michigan and expressed after practice Wednesday he can sense the different energy surrounding a team on the verge of clinching a NFC North division title, their first since 1993.
"It's huge. And it's, you can feel a different energy around here," said Hutchinson. "I feel like just winning the North was the goal, was one of the goals for this year. So, we're all in for this opportunity that we have. We're not taking it for granted. I think guys around here know it."
Detroit can finish atop the division, if they win any of their next three games, or if the Vikings lose any of their remaining games.
"You can just feel like, you know, a division victory hasn't been done here in 25 plus, 30 years, whatever it's been," Hutchinson explained. "So, I feel like everyone here just wants to be a part of history."
Detroit's defense has been scrutinized for giving up more points since the bye week, so a solid performance against the Denver Broncos at Ford Field can be a confidence booster for Hutchinson and his teammates.
"It was definitely a good bounce back game for us," Hutchinson said. "I think that's game one of us playing defense at a high level for this next stretch of the season. And we're going to keep building off of it."

Happy for Isaiah Buggs
Detroit's defensive line was able to pressure Russell Wilson for a large portion of the primetime contest.
Among the highlight plays was Isaiah Buggs recovering a fumble forced by Ifeatu Melifonwu and rumbling down the field.
Buggs' teammates have joked he should have pitched the ball to another teammate due to his lack of speed.
For Hutchinson, seeing a player get rewarded for an opportunity provides him happiness, even though he also wanted the ball handed to him.
"Buggs. He always finds a way, man, to just get some kind of ball production every game. I'm happy for him, man. Somehow he always gets his hand on a PBU, a fumble recovery, something. I'm happy for him. I was kind of hoping he'd hand it off to me, because I was there. Was no way in hell he was doing that. Maybe we would have scored that way, but it's all right. It's all right. I'm happy for him, though. It's funny. We were all joking around with him."
