'More the Merrier': Aidan Hutchinson Welcomed James Houston's Arrival
The Detroit Lions were able to revamp their defensive line with the emergence of rookie James Houston.
Detroit's 2022 sixth-round pick burst on to the scene after spending the majority of the season on the practice squad.
Aidan Hutchinson, appearing on the "Green Light" podcast, expressed that Houston's eight sacks and pass-rush ability reminded him of playing with David Ojabo with the Michigan Wolverines.
For Detroit's front office, adding talent to the defensive line in the upcoming draft will only serve to reinforce what has become a strength of the team.
"The more the merrier, you know. It was kind of like that at Michigan with David Ojabo and myself being the two EDGE guys," said Hutchinson. "And now, you know, James (Houston) really emerged out of nowhere last year. That's only going to help you win more games, and ultimately, that's the goal, is to get a ring and to win that Super Bowl.
"So, you know, if I'm not getting there, James is getting there," Hutchinson continued. "James is or I am. And, it's kind of the same dynamic as me and David Ojabo back at Michigan. It's exciting for sure."
