Detroit Lions first-year wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown is on the verge of setting another rookie receiving record.

After his performance against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 17, the talented rookie moved into second place for the most receiving yards by a Lions rookie. He needs only 15 receiving yards to become the record holder.

He currently trails wideout Roy Williams, who recorded 817 yards in 2004.

“I didn’t know that one. You’d hope he’d get that one," Detroit quarterback Jared Goff said this week. "I think that one, and I do know the one that he’s got, eight catches, five weeks in a row. (Let's) see if we can make it six. I don’t think we’re going to try to force it to him, but the last handful of weeks, it’s come pretty organically. And, yeah, I don’t know if I’ll be aware of that during the game, but sure, you’re kind of aware of it throughout the week.”

St. Brown said after Sunday's game that he can list off all 16 wideouts drafted before him.

It's became a source of motivation and fuel since stepping foot inside Detroit's Allen Park practice facility.

"It was definitely one of the moments in my life I won't forget," St. Brown said. "That feeling that I had. Day 1 went by, I wasn't expecting to get drafted. Day 2, I was expecting to maybe hear my name. And, seeing so many receivers go before me, that feeling that I had inside, I can't even explain it. It was gut-wrenching."

St. Brown added, "It does motivate me. Every time I'm doing something well, people are patting my back. I just think of those 16 that went before me and how I felt. That just keeps me going."

Through 16 games, St. Brown has recorded 82 receptions for 803 yards and four touchdowns.
