Best Bet: Lions' Receivers Make Plays

Jameson Williams, Josh Reynolds can aid your bankroll this week.

The Detroit Lions must contend with the third-best pass defense of the Baltimore Ravens.

With David Montgomery dealing with a rib cartilage injury, the Lions could rely more on the passing attack to move the football this week on the road.

Play Michigan writer Drew Ellis believes Josh Reynolds, who has chemistry with Jared Goff, could be a factor in Sunday's game.

"Oddsmakers continue to doubt Josh Reynolds, but he keeps proving week after week to be a reliable target for Jared Goff. Reynolds has come through with difficult catches every week, and Goff has trust in him, especially on third and long," Ellis tells All Lions. "With the over/under sitting at just 32.5 yards, I think this is a slam dunk. Reynolds has had at least 50 yards in every game but one. I expect similar numbers to last week against another tough defense, when Reynolds caught three catches for 50 yards. Goff may once again have to win this game with his arm, which bodes well for Reynolds to have some lengthy receptions (-110).

Others opportunities to boost your bankroll involve the receiving yards of Jameson Williams (16.5, -115), Jahmyr Gibbs (19.5, -115) and Kalif Raymond (20.5, +100).

Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson indicated Raymond has been a true professional since his arrival in Motown.

"Shoot, yeah, 'steady Eddy.' He’s the same guy every day showing up, very professional. He’s one of the most selfless guys I’ve been around in this league," Johnson said of Raymond. "When you start winning games, like we’re doing, guys are -- they all want to be involved and have a hand in it. And, he’s just a guy, ‘Hey, however I can help, however I can help, whatever it is. Is it blocking? Is it give me a punt return? Is it a deep ball? Whatever it is, I just want to help this team, help this offense.’ He’s got that mindset and mentality and really, it carries through for that whole room.”
