Bold Prediction: Hutchinson Records Multiple Sacks, Scores Touchdown
Detroit Lions EDGE rusher Aidan Hutchinson has an opportunity this week to play his best football, in order for his team to clinch the NFC North division.
"We’re all in for this opportunity we have," Hutchinson explained to reporters this week, ahead of his team's road contest against the Minnesota Vikings. "We’re not taking it for granted. I think guys around here know it."
Against the Vikings, look for the former No. 2 overall pick to make a huge statement on the road.
Despite not lighting up sack totals this season, Hutchinson has the opportunity this week to sack Vikings quarterback Nick Mullens multiple times.
If Detroit's defense can remain aggressive and force pressures, Mullens may even end up coughing up the football.
Often around the football, the talented EDGE rusher scooping-and-scoring a fumble or taking an interception back for a touchdown would be a special added touch this week.
“I feel like, when I was at Michigan, we hadn’t won a Big Ten championship since ‘04, I think it was. And now, being able to be part of this and be part of this rebirth of this organization, it’s very special. Very special," said Hutchinson. "And, all the guys in here are very excited.”

Defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn indicated this week in order for the team to have a chance at a Lombardi Trophy, it first starts with winning a division title, something that has eluded Detroit for three decades.
“But, being able to get a division, to win this division, I think it means a lot for everybody in this building. Well, I know it does. And, we’re going to do everything we can to make sure that we do that this Sunday,” Glenn said. “And, that’s been the plan from the beginning. Even though it took us to this third year to do it, that’s always been the plan.
“But, not just win the division, man, everyone wants to win that Super Bowl. But, you have to win that division first, and you have to do things like that, so you can see that you have things to build on. And, that’s what we’re trying to do.”
