Bold Prediction: Lions Defeat Bears By Two or More Touchdowns

Quarterback Jeff Driskel leads the Lions to big victory in season debut

Jeff Driskel signed with Detroit in September after playing with the Cincinnati Bengals for three seasons.

Driskel was selected in the sixth round of the NFL draft by the 49ers in 2016, but he did not make the roster.

Matthew Stafford's 136 game consecutive streak comes to an end today in Chicago.

Based on the nature of Stafford's injury, Driskel could be called upon for more than just backup duty today.

Today, Driskel could take advantage of his opportunity to showcase his skills and lead the Lions offense.

Remember, the Lions feature a top wide receiving tandem of Marvin Jones Jr. and Kenny Golladay. Driskel will also have an allotment of talented tight ends at his disposal.

The possibility of Driskel developing a connection with his tight ends could see more targets for Jesse James and T.J. Hockenson.
