Deebo Samuel, 49ers Get Last Laugh against Ceedy Duce

Lions safety struggled with several missed tackles.

Detroit Lions safety Ceedy Duce has a knack for using trash talk to his advantage.

But, there is one very significant disadvantage to engaging in verbal warfare with other professional athletes.

Those with the proper mindset and attitude will use anything said or written as motivation to strive towards their goals.

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel simply went out and performed at a high level, backing up why he is widely respected across the National Football League.

Detroit's talented safety missed several tackles, and despite his head coach warning him earlier last week not to take unnecessary penalties, he was flagged for a 15-yard penalty.

Luckily, Detroit went on to score, so the penalty did not end up being as costly as the poor tackling.

Samuel took to social media after the 49ers were able to advance past the Lions, 34-31, at Levi's Stadium to share his feelings on Duce waving goodbye to fans in the stands in the first half.

"Somebody go check on 'lil bruh,'" Samuel shared with his near 300,000 social media followers.

Fans of the Lions and the 49ers both expressed that the veteran's antics did not age well, both during the online feud with Samuel and during the game.

Samuel was asked about the hit Duce levied against him that drew the personal-foul penalty, indicating, "Aye man, you gotta be me when I’m looking. That’s the only way you gonna get me."

Members of the 49ers also celebrated in the locker room, expressing joy regarding being able to shed a variety of tackles attempted by the veteran defensive back.
