Aidan Hutchinson Is Highest PFF-Graded Detroit Lion in Week 3 Win
The Detroit Lions defense bounced back from its struggles with authority.
After squandering its home opener, Detroit's defense made a clear statement Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons. They sacked Falcons quarterback Desmond Ridder seven times and held them to just two field goals in a 20-6 win.
The offense, meanwhile, was methodical and kept the opponent at bay with lengthy scoring drives.
Dan Campbell praised Aidan Hutchinson, who recorded his first two sacks of the season in Sunday's game, for his commitment to the process despite coming up empty in Detroit's first two contests.
"Look, anytime Hutch rushes I think he's gonna get there. That's the nature of the way he rushes," Campbell said. "He's high motor, he's got craft about what he does. He's not a one-trick pony, he's got a couple of different moves and he's got ability. So I always expect it. There again, I just bring this up, the sacks are always gonna be good because you're getting him to the ground, but there's a lot of times where just because you're not getting a sack, doesn't mean you're not affecting the quarterback."
