Lions Post Super Bowl Power Ranking

Lions rank 25th in latest Power Ranking following Super Bowl LIV

This offseason will be very important for the future of the Detroit Lions. After a disappointing three-win season, the Lions will be looking to rebound in 2020.

Ownership has spoken.

They have mandated that the team be in playoff contention and play in meaningful games in December.

Head coach Matt Patricia and general manager Bob Quinn can ill-afford to be out of playoff contention next season.

It could cost them both their jobs.

Detroit will look to take advantage of having an ideal draft position and plenty of funds to spend this offseason to improve the current roster.

So where do the Lions rank as we sit at the end of the 2019 NFL season?

It is never too early to explore and debate how the NFL's teams rank against each other heading into the 2020 season.

25th - Detroit Lions (3-12-1)

According to Bleacher Report:

"Success hasn't been something that the Detroit Lions have enjoyed consistently since the team drafted Matthew Stafford in 2009. The Lions haven't won the NFC North in Stafford's 11 seasons. They have made the playoffs just three times and haven't made it past the Wild Card Round. Given that lack of winning, the back injury that sidelined Stafford last year and the team's possession of the third overall pick in the 2020 draft, some have speculated that it's time for the Lions to consider moving on under center.

Stafford will probably be Detroit's quarterback again in 2020. But if the Lions suffer through another three-win season, both Stafford and head coach Matt Patricia could find themselves looking for work."
